Imagine someone persuading you to run a 80km race off road with over 3km ascent. Imagine running that race with the longest training run being 8km long. That was my first ultra. See here. Just over a year later and I've ran the CCC. 101km with 6.1km ascent.
IT’S BETTER THE SECOND TIME
This was my second trip to Norway, just three weeks since the last.

Racing XC is where it started for me when it comes down to riding single speed.

2013 was a bad year for racing and punctures. 2014 started well but that was soon to change.
Into Fred and Beyond
Rear wheel looking up. Arms cramping. No chance of stopping. Descending Wrynose Pass at 100miles in - and I wasn't anywhere near the KOM. Disappointing.
The winter hadn’t been so kind. Lots of traveling with work meant an inevitable lack of riding, but I was still lucky enough to get out running while being away.
ONE MORE YEAR.
